To support the human resources department in implementing HR strategies, managing staff records, recruitment, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal policies. The HR Officer plays a key role in maintaining an efficient and supportive work environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years’ experience in an HR role, preferably in a large or structured organization.
Familiarity with Tanzanian labour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of confidentiality and integrity.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving ability
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Assist in recruitment and selection processes: job advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and on boarding.
Maintain up-to-date employee records (both physical and digital).
Handle day-to-day HR administration such as leave management, attendance, and personnel changes.
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian Labour Laws, company policies, and regulations.
Support payroll processing by compiling relevant employee data (leaves, overtime, etc.).
Participate in disciplinary procedures and performance appraisals.
Coordinate employee training, induction, and professional development programs.
Promote employee welfare, health, safety, and wellness programs.
Respond to employee queries on HR matters, benefits, and entitlements.
Draft HR letters, contracts, and internal memos.
Support organizational changes and HR projects as directed by the HR Manager.
