To manage and coordinate the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services required by the company in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. The Procurement Officer ensures transparency, accountability, and value for money in all procurement processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification such as PSPTB (added advantage).
At least 2–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Good knowledge of Tanzanian Public Procurement Regulations.
Experience working with ERP or procurement software is an added advantage.
Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with company procurement procedures.
Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure competitive pricing.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and public procurement laws.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Liaise with user departments to ensure timely and accurate specification of goods/services.
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt and inspection of items.
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with stores on stock replenishment.
Assist in tendering processes including bid evaluation, supplier selection, and contract award.
Ensure proper documentation and archiving of procurement files for audits.
Resolve procurement-related issues such as delays, quality disputes, and payment follow-ups.
Prepare procurement reports and support budget forecasting.
